Pretty Girl!

So, yesterday, Elle and I were able to go visit one of my good friends, Juliekaye Gardner!! Juliekaye had a sweet baby girl only four weeks ago. I was able to hold little baby Sydney Sage and forgot how little newborns are. Juliekaye just loved on Elle and painted her nails and toenails and gave her a little bracelet! Elle was so cute!! Thanks Juliekaye!!

Boot Scootin' Boogie

Elle has been scootin' around the house lately! I say "scootin" because it is not quite a crawl. She gets up on all fours and then pushes backwards...so she goes in the opposite direction of her desire! In this pictures, she backed herself up into her toybox!

Hard Workin' Man

Trent has always impressed me with his work ethic!! What can I say...he likes to be busy!! It is such a blessing, because I never have to make "honey-do" lists. He just takes care of everything. He has been blessed to learn a few different trades and is frequently putting that knowledge to good use. On this trip back home, Trent's sister Brenda decided to have Trent tile their kitchen and dining room. First he had to pull up all of the old tile and carpet. He worked hard all week, putting in long days. When I woke up in Friday morning I noticed that he had socks on his hands. They were all blistered up and really sore. So he covered them in bag balm and put socks on them to keep it contained. Well, when I got home late yesterday afternoon, he was sitting on the recliner in the living room. And this is what I saw...poor little guy!! He was back at it this morning - what a stud muffin!!

Snug as a Bug???

So over the last seven months, we have found that Elle falls asleep much faster and stays asleep a lot longer if we swaddle her up real tight...our little "burrito baby". I must say that she fights it like crazy, because she knows the final outcome! I have also been trying to put her down for her nap and let her fall asleep on her own. Like I said before, she HATES sleep!! Well, on this particular day, I wrapped her up tight and laid her on her back! She cried and cried...but I waited it out. Once she stopped, I went in to check on her and this is what I found! She had completely got out of her swaddle and wiggled her way to the middle of the bed and on to her tummy!! She looked so cute, though, I had to take her picture!
